Experienced CNC Machinist (Miller/Turner) – £40.54/hr

About the role

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist (Miller/Turner) to join a busy manufacturing team in London on a six‑month contract. The role involves precision machining of components, adhering to strict quality standards and delivering on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls.
• Operate a range of machine tools including drills, saws, planers and centre lathes.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and perform inspections with measuring tools.
• Carry out workshop calculations and follow quality plans.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and other material‑handling equipment.

Required profile

• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Proven experience in CNC programming and machine set‑up, particularly with Heidenhain systems.
• Ability to work to quality standards and meet delivery deadlines.
• Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
