Experienced CNC Turner – Precision Engineering

About the role

Our client, a well‑established precision engineering company supplying the defence and aerospace sectors, is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join their skilled machining team. You will program, set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce high‑precision components to exacting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate multiple Fanuc‑controlled lathes to manufacture aviation parts.
• Produce precision‑engineered components to tight tolerances.
• Select appropriate tooling and machining strategies.
• Edit and optimise CNC programmes where required.
• Carry out first‑off inspection and in‑process quality checks.
• Maintain high quality standards within a precision engineering environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a CNC Turner (programmer, setter or operator).
• Ability to programme CNC turning machines from engineering drawings.
• Experience with Fanuc, Siemens and Mazatrol control systems.
• Strong understanding of precision machining techniques and tolerances.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.

• Salary of £40,000 per annum.
