Experienced Computer Science Teacher – Full‑time One‑term

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Computer Science teacher to join a well‑regarded secondary academy in West Lancashire for a full‑time, one‑term contract starting September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils and contributing to a supportive department.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Computer Science lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Inspire students to develop programming, digital and problem‑solving skills.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold high teaching standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level.
• Strong classroom management and subject knowledge.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
