About the role
Our client, a well‑established logistics company, is seeking experienced FLT drivers to join their thriving team in Sunderland. The role offers a full‑time, contractor‑based position with the possibility of a permanent contract after six months of service.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a counter‑balance forklift truck safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, and decant stillages.
- Move and line‑feed stillages as required.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Work a 39‑hour week on rotating day and back shifts.
Required profile
- Valid in‑date FLT licence.
- Motivated individual looking for a long‑term opportunity.
- Ability to work both day (7 am‑3:10 pm) and back (3:10 pm‑11:20 pm) shifts on a weekly rotation.
Required skills
- Counterbalance forklift operation.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures.
What we offer
- £14.24 per hour for both day and back shifts.
- Overtime at £19.06 per hour (weekdays) and £25.42 per hour (Sunday).
- Potential permanent contract after six months.
- Weekly rotating shift pattern.
