About the role
We are seeking an experienced Optical Assistant to join a large, established optical practice in North Manchester. The role offers fixed working days, daytime hours and a supportive team environment, with a focus on delivering personalised patient care and meeting commercial targets.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome patients and build strong relationships.
- Identify each patient’s lifestyle and visual needs.
- Dispense frames, lenses and coatings confidently.
- Make needs‑led product recommendations and explain features.
- Support pre‑screening and the wider patient journey.
- Work towards individual and practice sales targets.
- Help reduce remakes through accurate dispensing.
- Assist colleagues across the practice.
Required profile
- Minimum 12 months recent experience in a UK optical practice.
- Confident optical dispensing experience.
- Good knowledge of frames, lenses and coatings.
- Experience working towards sales or ATV targets.
- Warm, personable and customer‑focused approach.
- Availability to work Saturdays.
