Experienced Paint Sprayer – £22‑£24 per hour

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Paint Sprayer to join a leading engineering manufacturer’s production team in Rochdale. The role offers a stable, long‑term placement with regular overtime and a supportive environment where high‑quality finishes are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare components by cleaning, masking, sanding and priming.
• Apply industrial coatings and paints using spray equipment to meet specification.
• Monitor environmental conditions and adjust spray parameters as required.
• Carry out routine equipment checks, maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to meet production schedules.

Required profile

• City & Guilds Level 3 in Paint Spraying or equivalent qualification.
• SSPC TTP Bronze (or higher) certification.
• ICATS Basic Industrial Coating Applicator qualification.
• OPITO Blaster/Sprayer Level 1 certification.
• NVQ Level 3 in Paint Spraying.
• Previous experience in industrial, automotive, rail or similar spray environments.
• Strong knowledge of coatings, paint systems and application techniques.
• Ability to follow health & safety procedures and method statements.
