Experienced Plumber – Full‑time, Ilford

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dependable plumber to join our expanding team on a busy responsive repairs contract in Ilford. The role involves hands‑on plumbing repairs and maintenance in occupied social housing properties, ensuring homes are safe, functional and comfortable.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out responsive plumbing repairs in occupied properties.
• Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages and drainage issues.
• Replace taps, toilets, cisterns, basins and other sanitary ware.
• Repair or replace pipework, valves and fittings.
• Investigate and resolve issues with hot‑water systems and radiators.
• Record job details, materials used and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets.
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle in good working order.
• Work respectfully in residents’ homes, keeping a clean and safe environment.
• Identify and report additional works, safeguarding concerns or property issues.
• Participate in the out‑of‑hours emergency rota when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent customer service experience in occupied homes.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
• Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems for recording work.

What we offer

• Annual salary up to £37,044.55.
