Experienced Plumber – Tower Hamlets

About the role

We are seeking an experienced plumber to join our expanding team in Tower Hamlets, supporting a busy responsive repairs contract for social housing. The role involves hands‑on plumbing repairs and maintenance in occupied homes, requiring a professional approach and strong customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out responsive plumbing repairs in occupied social housing properties.
• Diagnose and fix leaks, blockages and drainage issues.
• Replace taps, toilets, cisterns, basins and other sanitary ware.
• Repair or replace pipework, valves, fittings and address hot‑water and radiator problems.
• Record job details and materials using handheld devices or job sheets.
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicle in good condition.
• Work respectfully in residents’ homes, keeping the environment clean and safe.
• Participate in the out‑of‑hours emergency rota as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Experience in carpentry repairs and maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service skills, especially in occupied homes.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations.

What we offer

• Annual salary up to £38,703.26.
• Company van and fuel card.
• 42.5 hour week (8‑5 Monday‑Friday) with out‑of‑hours rota.
