Experienced School Attendance Administrator (Temporary, Full‑Time)

About the role
We are looking for an experienced School Attendance Administrator to join an East London secondary school on a temporary, full‑time basis starting January 2025. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate attendance records and supporting student welfare through effective use of the school’s information system.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update daily attendance data using the SIMS platform.
- Produce attendance reports for senior leadership and external bodies.
- Liaise with teachers, parents, and students to resolve attendance issues.
- Support student welfare initiatives linked to attendance monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with statutory attendance regulations.
Required profile
- Passion for education and student wellbeing.
- Proven experience in school attendance administration.
- Familiarity with UK attendance policies and procedures.
- Ability to work on‑site in an East London school environment.
- Available to start in January 2025 and work weekly.
Required skills
- SIMS (School Information Management System) proficiency.
