External Vendor Data Expert

About the role

ICON, a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation, is hiring an External Vendor Data Expert for a UK, home-based position sponsored by a dedicated sponsor. The role suits people with experience creating data transfer agreements who want to work with new types of non-CRF electronic data and data with complex structures.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialised expertise in collecting electronic data (non-CRF data)
• Create data transfer agreements for standardised external data, new data streams or data with complex structures and content
• Liaise with stakeholders to understand data collection requirements and deliver raw data in SDTM format
• Work with external vendors to ensure data quality and compliance with requirements
• Perform quality control on test transfers and manage issue resolution, escalating to leadership when needed

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a technological or clinical field
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience
• Experience creating data transfer agreements
• Ability to interpret data collection requirements from the clinical trial protocol
• Experience with non-CRF electronic data such as laboratory data, IWRS or ECG
• Client-facing experience and excellent written, oral and presentation skills
• Legal right to work in the country where the role is based
