EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Flexible Contracts in Surrey

About the role

We are offering multiple contract opportunities for Level 3 Teaching Assistants to support early‑years pupils who need additional help. The role involves supporting learning through play, phonics, early communication and social‑emotional development in Nursery and EYFS settings across Surrey.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted 1:1 or small‑group support for pupils with mild to moderate SEND, helping them access the curriculum.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, classroom management and preparation of learning resources.
• Create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to monitor pupil progress and well‑being.

Required profile

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) such as Early Years Workforce, CACHE, CCLD or related diplomas.
• Recent experience in a UK primary school, preferably supporting pupils with SEND in a 1:1 capacity.
• Strong communication, patience and adaptability, with enthusiasm for children’s development.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
