EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Surrey

About the role

We are seeking caring and proactive EYFS Teaching Assistants to support young learners in Surrey schools. The role focuses on delivering targeted 1:1 or small‑group support for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, particularly those with additional needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils across Nursery and EYFS, helping them access the curriculum.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, classroom management and resource preparation.
• Promote social, emotional and communication development through play‑based activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to monitor progress and wellbeing.
• Support pupils with mild to moderate SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and SLD.

Required profile

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Recent experience in a UK primary school setting, preferably supporting SEND pupils.
• Strong communication, patience and adaptability.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
