About the role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate EYFS Phase Leader to join a welcoming primary school in London. This permanent position starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to shape the Early Years provision across Nursery and Reception within a supportive, forward‑thinking environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the EYFS phase, overseeing both Nursery and Reception classes.
- Support curriculum development, planning and implementation.
- Monitor pupil progress and attainment, ensuring high standards of learning.
- Mentor and support staff within the EYFS phase.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive overall Early Years standards.
Required profile
- Strong experience teaching within the EYFS framework.
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development principles.
- Confidence in leading and supporting an EYFS team.
- Creative and engaging teaching approach.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
Required skills
- In‑depth understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
- Ability to develop and evaluate curriculum plans.
- Experience monitoring and analysing pupil progress data.
- Leadership and team‑development capabilities.
