EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant – Haringey (Full‑time, Term‑time)

About the role

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) SEN Teaching Assistant will support children with special educational needs in a welcoming primary school in Haringey. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will help pupils access the EYFS curriculum, develop communication skills and gain confidence during the crucial early years.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to EYFS pupils with additional learning needs.
• Implement play‑based learning activities and targeted interventions to promote engagement and independence.
• Assist the class teacher in adapting resources and lesson plans to meet individual learning goals.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, sharing observations with the SENCO and teaching team.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.

Required profile

• Passion for supporting young children with special educational needs.
• Patience, empathy and a nurturing approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO and support staff.
• Flexibility to work term‑time only, full‑time hours.
