EYFS Specialist Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team on the outskirts of Maidstone. This fixed‑term position runs for one year starting September 2026 and focuses on delivering play‑based learning in a safe, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support children in developing confidence, independence and a love of learning.
• Deliver engaging, play‑based activities that promote academic, social and emotional growth.
• Assist with phonics, early literacy, numeracy and language development.
• Adapt support for children with diverse learning needs.
• Maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and EYFS statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant.
• Experience working within EYFS.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong behaviour management with a calm, patient approach.
