EYFS Teaching Assistant – Early Years Support (London)

About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Lambeth, London, from September 2026. You will work alongside an experienced Reception teacher, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and play‑focused learning environment for young children.
Key responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning within the Reception classroom.
- Deliver small‑group activities targeting early literacy, phonics and numeracy.
- Encourage communication, independence and positive social interaction.
- Prepare engaging indoor and outdoor learning spaces.
- Observe pupil progress and contribute to assessment where appropriate.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to support each child's development.
Required profile
- Experience in an EYFS or primary school setting.
- Understanding of child‑led learning and the EYFS framework.
- Patient, energetic, highly organised and able to build positive relationships.
- Commitment to an inclusive, nurturing environment.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification is advantageous but not essential.
