EYFS Teaching Assistant – North London

About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistants to support nursery and early years settings across the London boroughs of Islington, Camden and Hackney. The role starts in September and offers flexible cover options to match your availability.
Key responsibilities
- Assist qualified teachers in delivering the EYFS curriculum.
- Support children’s learning and development in a safe, nurturing environment.
- Prepare and maintain classroom resources and learning materials.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support as required.
- Help with daily routines, including meals, playtime and record‑keeping.
Required profile
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in EYFS.
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant, room leader or nursery nurse in an EYFS setting.
- Flexible, reliable and caring attitude.
Required skills
- Understanding of EYFS statutory framework.
- Ability to follow safeguarding procedures.
