EYFS Teaching Assistant – One-to-One Support (Liverpool)

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support for a young learner with special educational needs in a primary school in Liverpool. The role starts in September 2026 and is a full‑time, temporary position focused on raising achievement and wellbeing for the EYFS pupil.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with the assigned EYFS student, delivering tailored assistance during lessons, playtime and outings.
- Support the class teacher in implementing and monitoring the child’s individual education programme.
- Record observations, track progress and liaise with parents under teacher direction.
- Assist with classroom preparation tasks such as photocopying and organising learning materials.
- Identify and address health‑and‑safety issues, ensuring a safe learning environment.
- Provide basic first‑aid care when required and report any incidents.
- Participate in in‑service training, staff meetings and other reasonable duties as directed by the Head Teacher.
Required profile
- Experience working one‑to‑one with EYFS pupils, preferably in an SEN setting.
- Familiarity with supporting children with ASD and ADHD.
- Enthusiastic, energetic and able to work well within a team.
- Commitment to high standards of learning, behaviour and care.
- Willingness to develop skills through training.
Required skills
- First aid certification (or willingness to obtain training).
