EYFS/KS1 Leader – Maternity Cover (Sept 2026)

About the role

This temporary position offers an experienced EYFS/KS1 teacher the chance to lead a vibrant early years and Key Stage 1 department during a maternity cover period starting September 2026. The role combines classroom teaching with strategic leadership in a values‑driven school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the EYFS and KS1 curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
• Mentor and support Early Career Teachers, fostering professional development.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to uphold the school’s values of Achievement, Care, and Excellence.
• Contribute to whole‑school initiatives, including arts, sports, and cultural programmes.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with proven experience in EYFS and KS1.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, ideally with previous Assistant Head experience.
• Available to start on or before 1 September 2026.
• Commitment to a nurturing, inclusive school culture.
