Fabric Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Fabric Data Engineer to join a forward‑thinking, sustainability‑focused organisation undergoing a major digital transformation. You will design, develop and optimise scalable data solutions while supporting a large‑scale migration to Microsoft Fabric.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Microsoft Fabric pipelines, Lakehouses and end‑to‑end data solutions.
• Develop, optimise and maintain SQL/T‑SQL queries for efficient data processing and transformation.
• Create and maintain scalable data models to support reporting, analytics and KPI measurement.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and enhance data quality, platform performance and solution reliability.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver business‑critical data solutions.
• Contribute to the evolution of the organisation’s modern data platform and architecture.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer delivering solutions in complex environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric and modern cloud‑based data platforms.
• Strong background in ETL development, data integration and pipeline engineering.
• Advanced SQL/T‑SQL development skills.
• Experience designing and implementing data models for reporting and analytical requirements.
• Experience using Python and/or PySpark, particularly within Fabric notebooks.
• Exposure to Azure data technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics or Data Lake.
