Fabric Engineer

About the role

The Fabric Engineer will provide first‑line support for reactive maintenance calls and carry out planned fabric, building and minor project works across Cleveland Clinic London sites. The role involves attending to a wide range of tasks, escorting subcontractors and ensuring all work is recorded in the CAFM system within agreed service levels.

Key responsibilities

• Attend and complete all assigned reactive tasks including fabric, building, locksmith, painting, decorating, gutter clearing, handyman and basic plumbing works within SLA.
• Provide first‑line support for reactive calls and assist the wider engineering team as required.
• Escort subcontractors and ensure specialist tasks are carried out to site requirements.
• Update the Helpdesk and CAFM system in real time and maintain issued tools safely.
• Follow all Safe Systems of Work, risk assessments and method statements.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience in building maintenance or a similar role (essential).
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office (essential).
• NVQ Level 2 in a relevant discipline (desirable).
• Knowledge of health and safety processes (desirable).
