Fabrication Operative – Sheet Metal & Laser Welding

About the role
We are seeking a motivated Fabrication Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment on a temporary basis. The role focuses on basic sheet‑metal work and will include full training in laser welding, offering a solid foundation for a career in metal fabrication.
Key responsibilities
- Perform basic sheet metal fabrication tasks.
- Operate a press brake (operation only, no setting).
- Rivet components as required.
- Carry out laser welding after training.
- Grind and sand finished products.
- Use general hand tools, drills, files and other workshop equipment.
- Follow engineering drawings and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a fabrication or manufacturing setting.
- Basic sheet‑metal fabrication knowledge.
- Comfortable using hand tools and workshop equipment.
- Practical, hands‑on approach with a willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Reliable work ethic.

What we offer
- £16‑£18 per hour, dependent on experience.
- Monday‑Friday schedule, no weekends.
