Fabrication & Welding Instructor – Full‑time Permanent

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Fabrication & Welding Instructor to join our engineering team in Blackburn. You will teach both practical workshop sessions and classroom theory to apprentices and learners, helping them develop the technical skills needed for a successful engineering career.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hands‑on training in MIG, TIG and MMA welding techniques.
• Teach fabrication, assembly and sheet‑metal work in a modern workshop environment.
• Provide classroom instruction on engineering principles, health & safety and industry best practice.
• Assess learner progress and give constructive feedback.
• Support the development of apprentices’ technical competence and safe working habits.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Welding, Fabrication, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant industry experience with MIG, TIG and MMA welding, plus fabrication and sheet‑metal work.
• Strong knowledge of workshop health & safety standards.
• Excellent communication and a passion for developing learners.
