Facilities and Health & Safety Manager

About the role

Motion Applied is looking for an experienced Facilities and Health & Safety Manager to oversee its UK factory and head office. The role combines hard‑FM services with HSE leadership, ensuring compliance, safety culture and continuous improvement across the sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage building condition, lifecycle maintenance and all building services including HVAC, compressed air, steam, chilled water, electrical distribution, fire detection, security and cleanroom/ESD controls.
• Own the Building Management System (BMS) – set points, alarm management, performance trending and energy optimisation.
• Maintain critical assets and utilities using OEM guidance, RCM/CBM strategies, and keep an up‑to‑date asset register in the CAFM/CMMS.
• Ensure statutory compliance – Legionella, asbestos, LEV, pressure systems, lifting equipment, fixed electrical testing and ISO certifications.
• Lead H&S duties – fire safety, COSHH, DSEAR, permit‑to‑work, toolbox talks and emergency response.

Required profile

• Proven experience in combined facilities management and HSE roles within a manufacturing or multi‑site environment.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and ability to develop policies and risk assessments.
• Relevant qualifications – IWFM Level 4 (or higher) and NEBOSH General Certificate (or higher).
• Willingness to travel across sites in Surrey and manage budgets and vendor contracts.
