Facilities Assistant – Full‑time Temporary

About the role

We are looking for a Facilities Assistant to join our estates team in Stockton‑on‑Tees. The role is full‑time and temporary, supporting the day‑to‑day operation and maintenance of multiple sites across the North East.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out basic building maintenance, repairs and support both planned and reactive works.
• Perform scheduled PPM checks and record results in the estates management system.
• Assist with opening, closing and general operation of premises.
• Conduct regular site inspections, report issues and resolve minor repairs.
• Support emergency procedures for fire, flood, break‑ins or accidents.
• Work shift patterns, including evenings and weekends, and be flexible to cover different sites.
• Use ticketing and management systems to log tasks and coordinate with scheduling teams.
• Help improve completion rates for planned maintenance tasks and collaborate with internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Willingness to work a shift pattern that may include evenings and weekends.
• Ability to travel between sites and work flexibly across locations.
• Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external contractors.
