Facilities Assistant – School Support Role

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Facilities Assistant to join a dedicated team supporting a specialist school for students with special educational needs. The role involves a mix of driving, health and safety, security, and general maintenance duties across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Transport pupils and staff safely to and from school locations.
• Maintain health and safety standards throughout the premises.
• Oversee security measures and ensure a safe environment.
• Coordinate routine maintenance, repairs, and porterage tasks.
• Liaise with external contractors and manage service contracts.

Required profile

• Patience, empathy and a genuine desire to support students with additional needs.
• Previous experience in a school or similar environment is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices is an advantage.
• Valid UK driving licence.

• Driving licence (UK).
