Facilities & Maintenance Manager – Aldenham Estate

About the role

The Aldenham Estate is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep, safety and efficient operation of its diverse sites, including the airfield, residential properties and glamping facilities. This hands‑on role combines day‑to‑day maintenance work with proactive problem‑solving and coordination of external contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections and repairs across all estate assets to minimise downtime.
• Identify and address maintenance issues before they impact operations.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Support the Property team in budgeting, resource optimisation and asset management.
• Provide on‑call assistance for urgent incidents, including occasional weekend or out‑of‑hours work.

Required profile

• Proactive, reliable and adaptable with a strong practical mindset.
• Experience in facilities, building services or estate maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Good communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external contractors.

What we offer

• Salary £32,000‑£38,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
