Facilities Maintenance Technician – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

Catch 22 is recruiting a Facilities Maintenance Technician on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract for a flagship site in Embassy Gardens, London. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will ensure the building remains safe, compliant and well‑maintained for staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out daily building inspections and routine maintenance checks.
• Perform minor repairs to fixtures, fittings, doors, locks, lighting, furniture and office equipment.
• Undertake basic plumbing and carpentry tasks and assemble/install office furniture.
• Coordinate specialist repairs and manage external contractors, reviewing RAMS and permits.
• Maintain stock of tools and supplies and manage preventive‑maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Conduct health‑and‑safety and fire‑safety inspections, report hazards and ensure corrective actions.
• Process maintenance requests via the helpdesk system, schedule planned works and support emergency response.
• Keep communal areas, washrooms, reception and breakout spaces in a high standard.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Facilities Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Operative or similar role.
• Strong fault‑finding ability and general maintenance competence.
• Ability to work safely, follow health‑and‑safety procedures and manage contractor documentation.
• Good organisational skills and the capacity to handle multiple requests.
