Facilities Manager

About the role

We are looking for an organised, process‑driven Facilities Manager to lead service delivery on a high‑profile public sector educational portfolio. This hybrid role combines hands‑on team leadership, statutory compliance, contract administration and client liaison across both hard and soft FM services.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Contract Manager in daily delivery of FM services, ensuring estate safety and presentation.
• Maintain 100% compliance with health, safety and statutory requirements, updating the site compliance tracker.
• Drive performance against contractual SLAs and KPIs, managing downtime and service shortfalls.
• Administer contractual performance workflows, including unavailability calculations and deductions.
• Own CAFM system management, operational reporting and minute‑taking for stakeholder meetings.
• Act as primary contact for school department heads, client representatives and corporate partners.
• Manage recruitment lifecycle for site staff, including DBS vetting, onboarding and performance reviews.
• Supervise shift schedules, workloads and resource allocation for Premises Assistants, Engineers and Helpdesk coordinators.

Required profile

• Proactive and analytical with strong attention to detail.
• Experienced in leading diverse FM teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Comfortable handling both hard and soft facilities services.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
