Facilities Manager – Large Manufacturing Site

About the role

Lead the day‑to‑day delivery of all hard and soft facilities services for a busy, large‑scale manufacturing and engineering site in Gloucester. Reporting to senior leadership, you will own the site’s infrastructure, ensure statutory compliance and drive continuous improvement across the facilities function.

Key responsibilities

• Manage planned preventative maintenance and reactive works for all building services and infrastructure.
• Oversee electrical systems, HVAC, water systems, building fabric, utilities and associated assets.
• Act as the site lead for fire safety, electrical safety, water hygiene, asbestos management, pressure systems, lifting equipment and LEV compliance.
• Coordinate specialist contractors and service providers, ensuring safe working practices, performance and value for money.
• Maintain accurate compliance documentation, certifications and audit records.
• Deliver facilities‑related improvement projects, capital investments and infrastructure upgrades.
• Support installation of new plant and equipment, ensuring seamless integration with existing facilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing facilities in a large, complex manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of UK statutory compliance for building services.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage external contractors.
