Facilities Officer – Workplace Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Facilities Officer to join the workplace operations team of a leading professional services firm in the City of London. You will help ensure the office environment across several floors is safe, functional and well‑maintained, providing a smooth experience for staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily walkthroughs of the building, checking multiple floors for issues.
• Manage the facilities ticketing system, logging and prioritising service requests.
• Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs, and report any defects.
• Carry out Health and Safety inspections and ensure compliance.
• Liaise with external contractors, escorting them on‑site when required.
• Support reception and broader workplace operations as needed.
• Work closely with Operations, Office Management and Facilities leadership to deliver a professional workplace experience.

Required profile

• Previous exposure to facilities, workplace services or office operations, preferably in a professional services setting.
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and juggle multiple tasks.
• Hands‑on, flexible approach – comfortable walking floors, performing checks and assisting on‑site.
• Proactive, reliable attitude with strong attention to detail.
