Facilities Technician – Cruise Port Maintenance

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Technician to join a busy cruise port operation in Southampton. You will ensure that berths, boarding bridges and gangways are ready for arriving vessels and keep essential services running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare cruise berths, passenger boarding bridges and gangways for arriving vessels.
- Carry out planned inspections and preventative maintenance across the site.
- Respond quickly to electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
- Support the arrival and departure of cruise ships by ensuring essential services and equipment are ready.
- Collaborate with colleagues from different departments to maintain safe and efficient operations.
Required profile
- Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with a strong electrical background preferred.
- NVQ Level 3 or recognised apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Confidence working at height.
- 17th or 18th Edition qualifications advantageous but not essential.
