Family Paralegal – Full-time (Devizes, Wiltshire)

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Family Paralegal to join a successful family law team in Devizes. The role provides hands‑on experience across a broad range of family matters, working closely with experienced solicitors and fee earners. It offers clear progression towards a training contract or qualification route.

Key responsibilities

• Assist solicitors with divorce, separation, financial remedy, private children and domestic abuse cases.
• Draft legal documents, correspondence and court bundles.
• Liaise with clients, courts and third parties in a professional, empathetic manner.
• Attend client meetings, take detailed instructions and manage files.
• Ensure compliance with SRA and internal procedures while supporting fee earners to progress matters efficiently.

Required profile

• Previous experience in family law as a paralegal or legal assistant (highly desirable).
• Strong understanding of family law procedures and documentation.
• Compassionate communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• A law degree (LLB) or LPC/SQE is preferred but not essential.
