About the role

We are seeking an experienced Family Solicitor at Partner level to join our well‑established family law practice in Poole. This senior position offers a genuine leadership opportunity, shaping the future of a busy department within a respected Legal 500 firm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a high‑quality caseload of family law matters, with a focus on high‑value financial remedy and matrimonial work.
• Supervise and mentor a small team of solicitors and support staff, driving team development and service delivery.
• Attend court hearings, client meetings and professional networking events, representing the firm locally.
• Contribute to business development and practice growth initiatives.
• Occasionally travel to other offices and attend local court sessions.

Required profile

• Qualified Family Solicitor or existing Partner with extensive experience in private family law, especially complex financial and matrimonial cases.
• Strong advocacy skills and a proven track record of attending court hearings.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and develop junior lawyers.
• Commitment to long‑term leadership within a progressive firm.
