Family Solicitor – Private Practice (2-5 years PQE)

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Family Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with 2–5 years post‑qualification experience to join a well‑established private practice in Reading. You will take ownership of a diverse caseload covering divorce, financial remedies, child arrangements and cohabitation agreements, while contributing to the growth of the department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an existing portfolio of private family law matters, including divorce and separation cases.
• Handle financial remedy proceedings and complex asset division.
• Oversee child arrangement and custody disputes.
• Draft and negotiate pre‑nuptial, post‑nuptial and cohabitation agreements.
• Develop new business opportunities and support department expansion.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with 2–5 years PQE in family law.
• Proven experience handling complex family law cases, preferably with high‑net‑worth clients.
• Membership of Resolution preferred.
• Strong client care and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and supervise junior team members.
