Family Support Worker – Night Shifts

About the role
This full‑time night‑shift position supports families and children in a residential setting. You will help parents develop positive parenting skills while ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for children.
Key responsibilities
- Support families according to placement plans, promoting positive parenting and life skills.
- Observe, record and report parental interactions to inform assessments and care plans.
- Safeguard children and vulnerable adults by following all policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to meetings and reports.
- Model professional practice, uphold equality and respect individual rights.
- Work flexibly within a team, attend training and supervision.
- Assist with domestic duties to ensure smooth centre operations.
Required profile
- Commitment to safeguarding and equality.
- Strong communication, observation and record‑keeping abilities.
- Experience working with children or babies.
- Willingness to complete a Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner qualification if not already held.
- Flexibility and teamwork orientation.

- Competitive hourly rate of £14.00‑£14.35.
