F&B Assistant

About the role

As an F&B Assistant at Hotel du Vin in St Andrews you will be the first point of contact for guests in the restaurant, helping to create a smooth and memorable dining experience. You will work closely with the kitchen and floor managers to manage service flow and uphold the brand’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, presenting menus and answering basic queries.
• Assist the service team in delivering food and beverages promptly.
• Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure orders are accurate and timely.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining area and service stations.
• Handle cash and process payments using the restaurant POS system.
• Support opening and closing duties, including stock checks and replenishment.

Required profile

• Enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the hospitality sector.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and varied shift patterns.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
