Female Care Assistant – Support for Young Woman with Disabilities

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Female Care Assistant to provide personalised support for a young woman with complex learning disabilities and non‑verbal communication. The role focuses on promoting independence, wellbeing, and enjoyment through daily living assistance and a variety of therapeutic activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, hygiene, and daily living tasks.
• Facilitate and accompany the client on activities such as yoga, swimming, music therapy, and outdoor outings.
• Implement the individualised care plan, ensuring safety and promoting independence.
• Provide emotional and social support, encouraging participation in community and recreational events.
• Maintain accurate records of care activities and communicate any concerns to the multidisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Female candidate residing within commuting distance of Rickmansworth.
• Full right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• Empathy, resilience, a positive mindset, and a good sense of humour.
• Physical and mental stamina to work variable day/night shifts.
• Ability to be fully present and attentive during shifts.

Required skills

• Makaton signing (training provided).
• Intensive Interaction techniques (training provided).
