Female Healthcare Assistant

About the role
Join Cygnet at Tupwood Gate Nursing Home in Caterham and provide compassionate, person‑centred care to adults with physical frailty, dementia or Alzheimer’s. This full‑time position works 44 hours per week across days, nights and alternate weekends, supporting both short‑stay and long‑term residents.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver enhanced, flexible care tailored to each resident’s physical and emotional needs.
- Provide guidance, encouragement and practical assistance with daily activities.
- Assist with medical and welfare requirements, including medication support and health monitoring.
- Record and report on residents’ medical and welfare status as required.
- Safeguard residents by maintaining a safe, clean environment and following safeguarding procedures.
Required profile
- Genuinely motivated to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
- Previous experience in a residential or nursing‑home setting.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
- Sensitive, intuitive and able to create a trusting, stimulating environment.
- Passionate about supporting independence for service users.
