Female Housing Support Worker (Temporary, Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a Female Housing Support Worker to join a leading charity in Rochdale. The role is full‑time (36 hours per week) on a temporary four‑week contract with the possibility of extension. You will work directly with women experiencing homelessness, providing practical assistance and emotional support.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out assessments to identify client needs and develop personalised support plans.
• Coordinate with partner agencies to secure housing, benefits and other essential services.
• Assist clients in navigating housing benefits and financial assistance programmes.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress and outcomes.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for service development.

Required profile

• Experience working with vulnerable people, preferably in housing or social care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality procedures.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a car; flexibility to work shift patterns including some weekends.
