Female Night Support Worker – 42h/week

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Female Night Support Worker to join our team at Cygnet Newham House, a 20‑bed neuropsychiatric care facility. Working the night shift (42 hours per week) you will help women recovering from acquired brain injuries and progressive neurological conditions regain independence in a safe, therapeutic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide physical and emotional support to service users throughout the night.
• Assist with personal care, medication administration and welfare needs.
• Monitor and record health and safety observations, reporting any concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, secure environment and follow safeguarding procedures.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver person‑centred care.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Sensitive, intuitive and able to manage challenging behaviours.
• Commitment to supporting independence and empowerment of service users.

Required skills

• Ability to follow clinical guidelines and care plans.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
