Female PE Teacher – Secondary School (Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Female Physical Education Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Southwark. The role starts in September 2026 on a full‑time basis and focuses on delivering an inclusive PE curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4, with a particular emphasis on encouraging female participation in sport.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging practical and theoretical PE lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
• Promote health, fitness, teamwork and confidence among female pupils.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to extracurricular sport clubs, teams and school events.
• Support the department’s goal of raising female sport participation.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Physical Education or a related subject.
• Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting, preferably with a focus on female provision.
• Strong understanding of the national PE curriculum.
• Excellent behaviour management and the ability to motivate learners of all abilities.
