Female Support Worker – Darlington

About the role

Thera North is seeking a dedicated Female Support Worker to join a small, caring team in Darlington. You will provide person‑centred support to a lady with complex needs, helping her enjoy daily activities, arts and crafts, and meaningful community outings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver daily living support tailored to the individual's preferences.
• Apply Positive Behaviour Support strategies to promote wellbeing.
• Assist with moving and handling safely, following best practice.
• Facilitate community access, outings, and creative activities.
• Support independence, dignity, and choice in all tasks.
• Drive the person’s mobility vehicle when required.
• Work varied shift patterns, including long days, overnight sleep‑in, evenings and weekends.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting people with complex needs.
• Confidence in using Positive Behaviour Support approaches.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Reliable, caring, and able to work consistently within a team.
• Committed to high‑quality, respectful care.
