Female Support Worker for Child with Complex Needs

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Female Support Worker to provide one‑to‑one care for a delightful 7‑year‑old girl with complex medical needs. This permanent, full‑time position offers the chance to make a real difference in a supportive family environment, helping the child thrive at home, school, and in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver daily personal care, including tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, mobility assistance, and continence support.
• Facilitate communication using PECS, Makaton and electronic AAC devices.
• Encourage play, learning, therapy activities and social development.
• Support achievement of monthly developmental goals in communication, mobility, independence and cognition.
• Assist with speech and language therapy programmes, including oral motor activities.
• Accompany the child to school, appointments, outings and community activities.
• Collaborate with parents, therapists and other support staff.
• Help maintain a positive, nurturing home environment for the wider family.

Required profile

• Female candidate with a caring, enthusiastic attitude.
• Willingness to work long‑term and provide consistent, reliable support.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including term‑time evenings and school‑holiday shifts.
