Female Support Worker – Part‑time (Southend‑on‑Sea)

About the role

Thera East is seeking a Female Support Worker to join its inclusive team in Southend‑on‑Sea. The role is permanent, part‑time or relief, and involves supporting adults with learning disabilities to achieve their personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised daily support, including personal care, emotional encouragement and skill‑development.
• Assist individuals with planning, budgeting and managing their own homes.
• Facilitate participation in leisure, employment, community activities and travel.
• Adapt support approaches to each person’s unique needs and aspirations.
• Work both in the client’s home and in community settings as required.

Required profile

• Compassionate, caring and resilient attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Willingness to embrace Thera East’s values and person‑centred vision.
• No prior experience or formal qualifications needed – full training provided.

Required skills

• Basic literacy and numeracy for record‑keeping and reporting.
