FI Business Analyst

About the role

This permanent position supports the Financial Institutions function of a leading international bank in London. The role combines business planning, performance monitoring and cross‑functional coordination, requiring strong analytical and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support business planning, KPI tracking, performance reporting and progress monitoring.
• Prepare business development plans, client‑strategy updates and marketing‑strategy support.
• Coordinate with Corporate Banking, Treasury, Finance, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Audit and other internal teams.
• Track actions and deliver cross‑functional initiatives, including credit‑portfolio monitoring and risk‑management controls.
• Produce research and insight on macro‑economic trends, market activity and regulatory developments in the UK.
• Manage budgets, vendor payments, membership fees and event‑related expenditure.
• Organise departmental events, seminars, meetings, networking events and roadshows.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the UK banking or financial‑services sector.
• University degree.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure with high attention to detail.
• Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
