Field Application Engineer – UK Remote

About the role

As the dedicated Field Application Engineer for Formlabs in the UK & Ireland, you will be the primary technical point of contact, delivering on‑site installation, training and support for our 3D printing systems. The role involves extensive travel (80%+), empowering customers to use cutting‑edge technology effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to unpack, install, commission and calibrate new 3D printing equipment.
• Conduct structured on‑site training sessions and live product demonstrations.
• Provide rapid response repairs and perform preventative maintenance visits.
• Diagnose electromechanical issues to achieve single‑visit resolutions.
• Manage complex travel logistics and submit expenses promptly.
• Maintain detailed records of installations, trainings and repairs in Salesforce.

Required profile

• Based in London, Manchester or Dublin (preferred for hub connectivity).
• Willing to be on the road 80%+ of the time; travel time is compensated.
• Strong technical background in electromechanical/hardware systems.
• Fluent English (C1‑C2) with excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence (category B).
