Field Based HR Case Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join us as a Field Based HR Case Manager. The role is primarily remote with national travel and provides expert advice and support to managers on complex employee relations matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of HR cases, prioritising activities against deadlines and case needs.
• Provide telephone and face‑to‑face support to managers, acting as HR lead on hearings, appeals and investigations across the UK.
• Review and prepare letters and documents for formal hearings and give feedback to managers.
• Record cases accurately in the Case Management System and keep the personnel database up to date.
• Coach managers on communication, decision‑making, fairness and consistency.
• Deliver clear, pragmatic advice that aligns with HR policies, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with wider HR team and stakeholders to ensure effective case handling.
• Work autonomously, using initiative and seeking senior advice when required.

Required profile

• Proven track record of managing a range of complex HR cases.
• Current, comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and its employer implications.
• Confident communicator at all levels, with a clear, engaging and collaborative style.
