Field Engineer (Mechanical / Hydraulic)

About the role

Join a family‑run manufacturer specialising in automotive recycling equipment. You will spend most of your time in the field, travelling across the UK and Ireland to install, service, maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical recycling machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and service automotive recycling equipment on customer sites.
• Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and breakdown repairs, including preventative maintenance tasks.
• Travel to the office once a week to collect stock and attend briefings.
• Work Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, with a 4‑day work week.

Required profile

• Proven experience with mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
• Ability to work independently as a mobile engineer.
