Field Interviewer – Glasgow (Part‑time)

About the role
NatCen is looking for part‑time Field Interviewers in Glasgow to conduct face‑to‑face research interviews in people’s homes. You will capture real‑world experiences on topics such as health, housing and transport, helping to shape public policy.
Key responsibilities
- Visit households across Glasgow using a tablet or laptop to record interview data.
- Knock on doors, introduce yourself and explain the study, following a pre‑sent letter.
- Handle refusals professionally and continue to seek participants who agree to share their stories.
- Record travel time and mileage accurately for reimbursement.
Required profile
- Valid UK driving licence with sole use of a car.
- Class 1 business insurance for vehicle use.
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete a DBS check.
- Reliable home broadband and a laptop or tablet with a camera.
- At least 18 hours per week availability, flexible for weekdays, evenings and weekends.

What we offer
- £20‑£30 per interview (average hourly rate £15.12 including holiday pay).
- Admin fees, holiday pay (12.1%), travel time (£4.68 / hour) and mileage (36p / mile).
- Performance bonuses (£250 after launch, then at two‑month and four‑month milestones).
